it's all about the sides

A day of gratitude if you live in the states, but just thursday if you're in Canada. I am thankful for all my family and friends, and for telephones that allow me to chat with them from across the country. Tonight's dinner had it all...except the turkey of course. Stuffing was on the list. typically i prefer cornbread stuffing, but i had whole wheat bread in house, so that's what i made. Extra buttery garlic potatoes were mashed all up too. Oven roasted sweet potatoes with brown sugar and balsamic glazed brussel sprouts rounded out the plate. Then it was all covered in the most important part, the gravy. The only lame part is the clean up which i have been putting off for hours now. So many dirty dishes.

Here's a pictue of me on top of the mountain. i went skiing for the first time since high school on monday. Mountains are way bigger out here than in connecticut. Once i got to the top. I said to myself, "self there's only one way down." Then after another few minutes of getting my nerve up. Off i went. It was a good day.
