Aialik glacier is a tidewater glaciar that has been static(not advancing or receding) for about 100 years i think.

glacier up close. the neatest thing is when the glaciers calf. it sounds like thunder. its loud and it is awesome. i think nature is pretty great.

this is the harding ice field behind me the largest icefield that is entirely in the USA. it is the size of rhode island. that's a lot of ice. all along the trail to the icefield were salmon berries which look like raspberries and watermelon berries which taste just like sound...delicious. i am going to homer this weekend and to seward to do some sea kayaking. so i'm off peace y'all
